The Tutu Bow-Tique was a vendor at the Posh Fashion Show benefitting Kathy & Victoria Wakile in the national brain tumor awareness walk and team Victorious Angels. It was a great event. Both Tracy DiMarco & Jackie from Jerseylicious were in attendance looking fabulous wearing Jazmine's creations. The Tutu Bow-Tique sponsored the event as a vendor and on the step and repeat.  Had a great time at The chic charity clubs shopping event. They really did a wonderful job putting this event together. If you missed out this time keep in the loop and get tickets for their next event. It really was awesome they have great vendors (including the tutu bow-tique) and included in your ticket was dinner,apps, $5 martin's, soda, $5 manicures, sheets of tickets for great raffle prizes and much more. It's def an event I would attend even if I wasn't vending at it. You can find a write up on the hasbrouck heights patch website as well.     Great event, great cause and met some Fabulous people! The Tutu Bow-Tique BlogWelcome to The Tutu Bow-tique. My name is Tara and I am the creator of The Tutu Bow-tique. All of your tutus are hand made right here in New Jersey by yours truly. I started this venture by combining my "old world" with my "new world". Upon graduating from college with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing I headed right to NYC. First interning for a summer at a handbag and accessories wholesale distributor in midtown Manhattan, where my office looked directly into the Empire State Building. I was able to set a great foundation for the fashion world... ( not to mention fabulous bags!) After my internship was complete I went over to the otherside of the Empire State Building working for an Intimate Apparel and Sleepwear Company on 34th St. There I really learned the entire business from start to finish. Starting as a production assistant handling the large retail store orders and placing them with overseas factories to get them produced. I handled everything from placing the order to approving the fabric and colors to the fittings on to getting the order put on the boat and shipped. I worked my way up from Assistant to Director overseeing production, design and the advertising and PR departments. While preparing for our New York Fashion week Fashion show we found it difficult to make intimates not to "racey". We then came up with the idea to create TUTU's for every look to cover the models some on the runway. Doing those fashion shows and all the work and creativity that came with it was so much fun and something I've been so passionate about. Archives |
